The Red Bull Lab will showcase a tasty selection of NZ's best artists jamming, collaborating and pulling put out some fresh and crazy tunes to keep you entertained.

The Lab is located in Odlins Plaza and is a prime place to be with great views overlooking the waterfront as well as space for 1,500 people, tasty treats and a large Red Bull bar and Jim Beam bourbon garden bar.

The Adults                           
Jon Toogood has hand-picked some of his favourite New Zealand players to form this supergroup including Tiki, Julia Deans, Shayne Carter, Anika Moa & Warren Maxwell. We don't know exactly who will join him on the Homegrown stage but rest assured you can expect a stunning set from a unique group of iconic NZ musicians.
Tiki Taane (Acoustic)
What can we say about this man? He has become a household name in New Zealand with his mix of rock, reggae and electronica tinged performances and music. His single “Always on my Mind” is the biggest selling single of all time nationally and is a taste of what to expect from his acoustic set at Homegrown 2012.
King Kapisi, Che Fu, Manuel Bundy
See the masters at work this year at the Red Bull Lab as we hand the reigns over to 3 prolific artists that have all shaped the New Zealand underground and mainstream in their own unique fashion. Expect the unexpected as these purveyors of quality take you on a musical journey.

AHoriBuzz                                                      
The brainchild of Aaron Tokona (Cairo Knife Fight / Weta) with break through hits ‘Glitter In The Gutter’ and ‘Turnaround’ Aaron is prepaing to mix his best in the Red Bull Lab. Dallas Tamaira, Fran Kora, Tiki nd LA Mitchell are already confirmed to join the mash-up and it's certain to be exceptional.

Concord Dawn Vs P Money
For over 12yrs Concord Dawn has been a veteran in NZ D&B and has made it big in UK/Europe. P Money is one of NZ's most renowned Hip Hop Producer/DJs and has exported himself to the USA.  Together for the first time at Homegrown they will be battling it out with an intense sound clash which you would be crazy to miss.
Minuit feat Gamelan
Minuit have been working the underground music scene for the last 10 years building a solid reputation for high energy shows. The band has developed an uncanny ability to mix and concoct a blend of live synthesis, drum machines and vocals and this year will be joined by the massive Balinese instrumental band Gamelan Taniwha Jaya.
Nick D & Yewala Soundsystem
As special guest host of the Red Bull Lab, the incomparable entertainer that is Nick Dwyer (of tv FOUR and GeorgeFM fame) will keep the show rolling - both as man on the mic, and a higly skilled and worldly DJ of multi genres. Joining him for the opening performance of the stage is the impressive live percussion of the Yewala Soundsystem.
   

 

Individual Stage Capacity

Each stage has a limited capacity and during the day access is on a
first come first serve basis

Tickets to Jim Beam Homegrown are strictly limited and we're keeping numbers down to try and make sure everybody can see the bands they want to see, but if you've got a favourite band it can't hurt to get there a little early just in case.


Thanks to Red Bull the Lab stage will be a full interactive and creative experience.
